A Federal High Court in Kaduna has granted bail to the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, in the sum of ₦200 million with two sureties in like sum. El-Rufai, who is being prosecuted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over alleged corruption and misappropriation of public funds, has been barred by the judge from granting media interviews until the conclusion of the trial. The case has been adjourned to April 21 for the continuation of the bail hearing under a separate judge.
